The cable car takes the group to the glacier. Already the great view of the ice formations and the blue glacial ice shimmering in the sun bedazzle the participants in this unique scenery.
Well-secured in small rope teams and after a detailed introduction by the mountain guide, the participants start their way together with the guide into the extreme regions of the perpetual ice. The mountain guides know the terrain like the back of their hand and guide the rope teams with crampons and ice axes higher and higher.
The air becomes thin up here – small ridges and abseiling points in ice and crags make the participants breath even faster. Of course, the tour is manageable for everybody. And through best knowledge of the terrain the routes can also be varied.
If the weather allows, the participants may be abseiled into a bluish-shimmering crevasse and try out climbing with ice axes – examining the glacier from inside is definitely not an everyday experience!
After these impressions the participants slowly retreat downwards, from ice and rocks back into the green. There, mountainbikes await the group for the next challenge! A snack is taken, the guides give a quick introduction to the right use of brakes and gears, and then the participants make their way down to the valley – fast and easy!
